Case Study: Kursty Groves (Kurstygroves & Workspace Made Easy)
Client Kursty Groves is an author and podcaster who needed a highly reliable, custom solution to host her content, showcase her podcasts, and launch a dedicated marketing hub for her upcoming book.
The Challenge The client needed a platform that could handle both editorial content and podcast distribution, without manual double-work for every episode. Additionally, she required a high-traffic landing page for a book launch that needed to remain cost-effective, capture subscribers, and segment them automatically for targeted newsletters.
The Solution
- Core Website & Podcast Automation (Ghost CMS)
• Custom Development: Started with a premium Ghost template and heavily customized design - including a completely custom Hero section and dynamic, tag-filtered article feeds on the homepage.
• Custom Podcast Player: Designed and developed a custom audio player integrated directly into the podcast post pages.
• Podcast Automation: Built a custom periodical automation script that monitors her podcast feed. When a new episode drops, it automatically drafts a post in the Ghost admin with all custom metadata pre-filled, leaving it ready for a quick final review and publish.
- High-Performance Book Landing Page (Cloudflare Pages) • Infrastructure: To keep hosting fees minimal, the new book landing page (Workspace Made Easy) was built as a static site and deployed on Cloudflare.
• Design Collaboration: Design of both pages, achieved by cooperation with UI/UX designer.
• Audience Segmentation: Developed a custom subscription form on the landing page that syncs directly back to the main Ghost CMS database.
• Automated Member Funnel: Subscribers joining via the landing page are automatically tagged with specific Labels for future newsletter segmentation. This label instantly triggers a custom redirect to a hidden page on the Cloudflare site, allowing subscribers to claim their free sign-up gift automatically.
Ongoing Infrastructure & Maintenance Both platforms are fully managed and maintained, ensuring high availability, and zero technical overhead for the client.
