I’m a freelance front-end developer based in Australia. I’ve been using and working with Ghost since 2017, have been one of the most active contributors to Ghost’s forum since its inception, and have put together themes for investigative journalists, scientists, doctors, and more. My forte is with customising pre-existing themes, as well as with handling version control, routes setup, and integrating Ghost with various other services.

Age of Transformation

With Nafeez wanting to move away from Medium, and upon convincing him of the advantages of launching his new newsletter on Ghost rather than WordPress, I worked closely with him to tailor his new Age of Transformation site to his tastes. Along with setting up a Discourse instance (for more of a “community” commenting experience) and connecting it to Ghost with the Discourse on Ghost integration, I integrated (and sometimes created) several customisations to the Age of Transformation theme to suit Nafeez’s needs: several custom CTA cards and subscribe forms for various uses, a custom tip jar, a table of contents, a contact form, dark mode functionality/design, and more. With the site being active since 2023, I’ve provided ongoing updates to the theme in order to keep it up to date with Ghost’s latest features and platform updates.

Allan has been a force of nature when it comes to my Ghost experience, handling the set-up, design and execution of my Age of Transformation newsletter from end-to-end.
