# Customizing Stripe

When members decide to upgrade to a paid tier, they will complete their purchase via a Stripe Checkout page. This page can be customized directly within Ghost Admin, from the **Settings > Tiers > Checkout** area.

💡

You will need to [connect Stripe](https://ghost.org/help/stripe/) and setup at least one [paid tier](https://ghost.org/help/tiers/) before checkout settings can be customized.

## Look & feel

In order to customize your design, you will first need to enable the checkout design settings. When enabled, this will override the checkout styling in Stripe.

The available options that can be customized include:

- **Background color**  
Apply a custom background color to your checkout page
- **Accent color**  
Use your site’s accent color, or select a custom accent color for your Pay button
- **Corners**  
Choose between square, rounded or pill corners
- **Checkout font**  
Choose a custom font that fits your brand design

You can also preview how your changes will display during checkout using the **Preview in Stripe** option, allowing you to see how checkout will look for each tier.

When finished making your changes, hit **Save** to push them live on your publication.
